The Public Circle Town Hall Series

Following the spring session of the Legislature and the BC NDP’s first full budget there is a lot to update. I am excited to announce our Spring town hall series.

Throughout the sitting I have had the opportunity in Question Period to press government on their salmon policy, the speculation tax, and a growing advertising budget which still has no independent oversight. The back half of this session will be packed with government legislation including how British Columbia will regulate recreational cannabis.

In the Saanich North and the Islands Constituency Office we continue to build a robust public participation and outreach strategy called The Public Circle. We have hosted community dialogues on housing, the emerging economy, healthcare, transportation and in April we will be discussing agriculture. We have also started a weekly broadcast called The Public Circle LIVE!

Needless to say, there is a lot going in both of my legislative and constituency offices. I look forward to connecting with you.

The Constituency Office is located in Sidney, BC and we are open Monday to Friday from 10:00am – 4:00pm. If you would like to meet with me, please do not hesitate to contact us by email at Adam.Olsen.MLA@leg.bc.ca or call us at 250-655-5600.

Save the date!

In June, we are taking to the road. The Public Circle Town Hall series will have seven stops in Sidney, Pender Island, Galiano Island, Mayne Island, Saturna Island, Central Saanich and Salt Spring Island.

I will provide an update on the Spring legislative agenda and discuss local issues and opportunities. In addition, there will be a lot of time for questions.

Please join us and discuss the pressing issues facing our province!
