Good morning. ÍY C̸EĆIL in SENĆOŦEN. I would just like to say that I support Adam Olsen running for the, in the provincial election. And I have to say that I didn’t know Adam earlier in his life, when he was living here at Tsartlip reserve, or First Nation, and I learned of him when he ran as a, in the municipal election of the Central Saanich and I was very proud at that time to have one of our own representing us at that Council. Because it was many years before that I had to go and speak to that Council to ask them to not allow a marina to be put in at Saanichton Bay and they told me that I told a compelling story but that they had to approve the development because the developer might sue them. So they weren’t very receptive to treaty rights but I feel comfortable and safe that the Green Party will endeavor to uphold the Douglas Treaty and I’m very proud to say that I endorse and support Adam and all his work. I have to say that I am very proud of him stepping up. For myself I’m not a political person, I never ran for Chief or Council and I was always in the background doing other things but each of us does our own thing and he helps in his way and I help in my way by working here at PEPAKEN HAUTW, which means or translates to the “blossoming place” and I’m proud of the work that I do here.
