Mothers of Invention: Lungs of the North

Oct 13, 2019 | Blog, Governance | 1 comment

A friend of mine shared this podcast with me. There was a very brief message attached.

“I love this podcast so much!”

For every other podcast recommendation I’ve made over the months has come with some context of how the topic, idea or message is alive in my life.

I’m just not going to offer anything more than this. Indigenous cultures and languages across North America are diverse. However, each speaker I hear share their worldview uncovers astounding similarities.

If you listen to only one podcast that I have shared, then I hope this episode of Mothers of Inventionfeaturing Dalee Sambo Dorough and Eriel Tchekwie Deranger, is the one you listen to!

Thank you Adam for sharing and reminding us to turn inward, look to the land, turn to our elders, in particular the indigenous peoples around the world, and join together using their long standing knowledge of being resilient.

Now more than ever we need the wisdom and guidance from the people who live in the “two parts of Mother Earth’s lungs, Antarctica and Arctic Circle to show us the way through this crisis.
