She is Madison Olsen but she calls herself MO

We got some new concrete in front of our house recently. A hefty sidewalk. In the little section they added to connect our driveway she etched MO into it. It’s going to be there for years to come.

She, is Madison Olsen and she is my talented niece.

Singer, musician and now songwriter, Maddie has always had a beautiful sound resonating from deep within her being. Music came easy for her, it flows through her.

Ever since she stood on the stage at Saanichton Bible Fellowship for her first singing recital and stunned the crowd with a powerful and moving rendition of “I want a hippopotamus for Christmas” we all knew she had a gift.

Her friends started calling her MO a few years ago and it seems to have stuck to her. Whatever name she ends using great music will be surrounding her.

Madison is lucky to have a step-dad who can compose, produce, play, record and engineer sound. The result is her first song on ReverbNation.com. It’s called Surface. (I hope there will be many more. No pressure MO!)
