This past weekend we were walking around Elk/Beaver Lake and ran into a Cabinet Minister along the way.
“Good afternoon!” I said.
“Hello,” she replied.
“Hey you are going the wrong way!” I smirked.
“That’s what you always say about us!” She shot back with a smile.
We continued on our way.
A little while down the road Emily quietly encouraged me, “just keep being you, keep working hard while being able to still smile with each other!”
Human politics is driven by human emotions and it is easy to lose the humanity in it all.
We are all walking on the same path. But often in our own directions and we must find a way through our difficulties together.
Unfortunately, it is rare that we pause to reach out and take comfort in each other.
Let’s try to change that, one step at a time.

Good advice for when we’re canvassing, Adam. As Ram Dass said, “We are all walking each other home.”
I love this post! Which detour next? Rest stop? Thank you Adam!
So insightful Adam! Thank you.
